Vesak

Vesak is very important for the Buddhists.One thise day,the Buddhist commemorate the birth,the enlightenment and the death of Lord Buddha. On Vesak day falls on a Full on a Full Moon day. For vesak people build Vesak Lanterns and pandals.Temple get filled with devotees.They come to offer flowers,observe sill and listen to the sermons.This fastival helps people live without sin. Another interesting feature is the lightning of oil lamps. The fragrance of flowers and the lighted sandal wood fills the air during the Vesak festival. On this day many people organis"Dansalas" The young and the old alike visit these Danasalas. Vesak produces a sense of holiness among Buddhist.

Sri Maha Bodi

The Buddha attained enlightenment in 588BC at Gaya Uruwela. The tree that gave shade to the Bodhisattvas was a Bo tree. The southern branch of the Bo tree was bbrought to ceylon by king Dharmashoka by his daughter Sangamitta theraniya around 274-232AD. King Devanampiyatissa landed at the then harbor called Dambakolapatuna in the North of Sri Lanka at what is now know as Kankasanthurai and sailed to the Bodhi branch on board the ship on wich ven. Then the tree was planted where it is today. This place was marked by Arah ath Mahinda tero who came to this ccountry before the Bo tree was pplanted before the tree was planted. King Devanampiyatissa ssurrounded the tree with a protective well. The veneration of the Sri maha bodhi was maintained by every king who ruled in Sri Lanka This sacred tree which is addressed by names such as Sri maha bodi,Jayashrimahabodhi etc.is worshipped by all the people of sri Lanka .

The History of Anuradhapura

Anuradhapura is one of oldest settlement in Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura is also the capital of Sri Lanka.It was used as the capital around 500BC. Anuradhapura was the capital of Sri Lanka for about 1500 years.The city bega as an ancient village.It is said that anuradhagama was built by Anuradha,a brother qeen Bhaddakachchayana. After king Pandukabhaya made Anuradhapura the capital. The old city of Anuradhapura had 3zones nnamely Ethulunuwara,Pitinuwara and poojanuwara. There is evidence that this ancient city of Anuradhapura was visited by Greek, Roman and Chinese tourists. Anuradhapura was ruled by 90 kings and some of the most famous kings. They are Pandukabhaya, Devanampiyatissa,Dutugamunu,Walagamba,Dhathusena,Mahasen. ThThousand of monks reside in the Maha Vihara and Abayagiriya temple in the Anuradhapura.Tisa wewa,Abaya wewa are some of the large tanks in Anuradhapura. Shreya Goshal was bron 12 march 1984 she is an Indian Playback singer. Shreya aspired to become a playback singer from early age. At the age of four ,she started the learning music. At the age of six ,she started formal training in classical music.At the age of sixteen she was noticed by the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali when she enterd and won the T.V singing reality show. she made her Bollywood pplayback singing debut with Bhansali's Bhansali's romantic film Devdas. Apart forme playback singing ,shreya has appeared as a judge on several television reality show and she also appers in music videos. She perfoms in musical concerts arround the world. She became the first Indian singer to have her wax figurine Madame Tussaunds Museum.

Also know as Bangtan Sonyeondan or Bulletproof boy scouts ,BTS is a korean men's music group .The band was formed in 2013.It has seven members they are RM,Jin,Suga,J-Hooe,Jimin,V, Jungkook.Kim Namjoon,also known as RM is the leader of BTS. They have become hugely popular around the world and they make an active contribution to the South Korean economy . "2Cool 4 School " album is their first album and it has become very popular in Korea.As a result ,they won The Best Artist of the Year award that year.In 2016,their wings album also become the first album to sell million of copies . By 2017, BTS will enter the international music markets and break the many records in the United States. A mobile phone known as a cellular phone is a divice that can make and receive telephone calls over around a wide geographic area.It dose so by connecting to a cellular net work.The first hand-held mobile phone was demonstrated by Dr.Martin Cooper of motorola in 1973.It provides the services sudh as text messaging ,mms,e-mail internet access ,etc. Among the above mentioned advantages there are some disadvantages too. In today society so many school children are addicted to mobile phones. some times they use them for unnecessary purposes.So they miss their school work and use to experience some bad things which are no suitable to a school child .Another problem of using a mobile phone is negative helth . The researchers have found that the highly use of mobile phones are caused for brain cancers and other sickness. How ever we can find different side of using a mobile phone .😊
